Crispy Vegan Tofu Tenders

  • non dairy milk
  • corn flour
  • gluten free bread crumbs

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup non dairy milk
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 3/4 cup gluten free bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  1. Preheat oven to 400º F and line a baking tray with nonstick parchment paper

  2. Make sure your tofu is pressed to remove any remaining moisture, if the tofu still has moisture it will not be as crispy. Cut tofu into strips
  3. Take 3 deep bowls and add the almond milk in one, corn flour in one, and gluten free bread crumbs in one
  4. If you’re adding homemade parmesan, add it to the gluten free bread crumbs and mix.
  5. Add the paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the corn flour - mix well.
  6. Take one piece of the tofu and dip it in the corn flour bowl, make sure it’s evenly coated in the flour.
  7. Then gently dip it in the almond milk
  8. Then dip it in the gluten free bread crumbs and evenly coat the tofu stick with the bread crumbs - transfer to baking sheet
  9. Repeat for the rest of the tofu
  10. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until it starts to brown.
  11. Serve with your favorite dip or sauce
